Romulus and Remus "raised by wolves"

According to legend, Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus, twin sons of Mars, god of war. Babies were abandoned when the river Tiber where a wolf to rescue and take care of breastfeeding, Remus was killed in a dispute and Romulus became the first king of Rome. The alleged cave known as the Luperce wolf, became a sacred place for the Romans.
